What about signing Lacky and giving Werth and Lee to extensions. Plus we need someone who hit off the bench.

The World Champions have their eye on Lackey. He'd be a good no. 2 or 3.

And extremely expensive. He's the biggest guy out there and will be overpaid by someone.

Agree completely. Lackey would break up the lefties in the rotation and give the Phils a dependable starter. As much as I like Moyer, he is now past his prime and needs to start looking forward to a career as a pitching coach.

He may become overpowering again if he comes to the NL. You guys would be unstoppable if you added him to your rotation. You already have a great lineup. Now imagine this rotation:

- Cliff Lee
- John Lackey
- Cole Hamels
- J.A. Happ
- Joe Blanton

Personally, I hope the Orioles sign him.
