No, he didn't say that. He said he had nothing in Game 3 (meaning he couldn't locate his pitches, he was having a terrible night). He never said I have nothing in the tank.....

Yeah, but I didn't see any threads about Pettitte having nothing in the tank.

petite is gonna lose. History doesn't look good for the Yankers right now. last manager to try a 3 man rotation in the WS was Cox in 92. Cito Gaston and his Jays beat them pretty badly. Also you root for the team who has given up the biggest lead game wise 3-0 to the Red Sox in 04.

Joefri you've made a comeback. Did you get tired of defending Burrell on the Rays board and finally said I'd rather be a Phils fan again? jk

I wasn't on the Rays board...I think you have me confused with Tubes.

PS - Ibanez had a much better season, but we are now strapped into paying him 23 mil over the next 2 sasons,,,,still a terrible signing no matter how you look at it.

The numbers don't lie, Joe

Ibanez
HR-34
RBI-93
BA-.272

Burrell
HR-14
RBI-61
BA-.221

You tell me who's the better player

Again, Ibanez had the better season, but we are now strapped for 23 mil over the next 2 seasons with a 37-38 year old.

Oh here we go with the again factor again. lol. I don't care how old Ibby is. He could be 43 and knocking in those numbers and I wouldn't care. Do you really think Pat is going to have a stellar season next year at his age? (33)

Pat will more that likely be a DH the rest of his career.

Pat has nothing to do with this. The contract that was given to Ibanez was horrible. If anything they should have front loaded it instead of back loaded it.

PS - Yes, I think Burrell will be healthy and productive next season.

OK Joe, yeah the only thing bad about the deal was the contract. Other than that I think Ibby was a great pick up. Have a nice day.
