Since the NY Yankees beat the NY Mets 4 games to 1 in 2000 to capture their 26 World Championship, it's been all downhill for the "Bronx Bombers". They Mets shouldn't think of themselves as the biggest chokers in NY anymore!

See what I mean:

2001 World Series: Arizona Diamondbacks v. NY Yankees. After scrapping back from 0-2 to take a 3-2 lead in the series, the series shifts back to Arizona where the Diamondbacks win the final two games to finish off the Yanks.

2002 ALDS: After taking the 1st game 8-6, the Anaheim Angels win 3 straight to bounce the Bombers from the playoffs.

2003 World Series: After taking a 2 games to 1 lead in the Series over Florida, the yanks lose 3 straight again handing the Marlins their 2nd World Championship.

2004 ALCS: In one of the most famous Chokes in post season history, The Yanks took the 1st 3 games from Boston then went on to lose 4 straight. The last game being a 10-3 blowout in da Bronx. Yankee fans still feel that!

2005 ALDS: After tying the series at 2 games apiece, the yanks lose another series to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 3-2.

2006 ALDS: After taking the first game, the yanks lose 3 straight to the Detroit Tigers.

2007 ALDS: After taking the 1st two games, the Cleveland Indians let the Yankees win one before finishing them off in four. Yanks eliminated again.

2008: No post season for the Yankees.

Well they make the post season every year but seem to choke it up in new and fascinating ways.

If anyone says we can't win the series against this Yankee club, you're nuts!! Here's proof!!

Don't worry Mutts, You are NOT the biggest CHOKERS IN NY!!

Hey you are not done yet. After winning the first game against the Twins and umpires stepped in to help the yankees pull out a win. That is fact as well!

So let's see if I understand you: Yanks take 2 out of 3 from the Phils in their own ballpark where they previously were 11-1 in the playoffs and the Yankees "choked"?

Well, I suppose that's what Angel fans said after Game 5 of the ALCS also. After all, you have to have faith to be a "fan", but don't you think you should let them finish the series before you call them "chokers"?

I never said the Yankees "choked" this year, just in previous years leading up to this point from 2000. All I said is we can beat them on their past postseason perfomances.

Don't spin what I said to your advantage.

"IF JETER DONT HIT INTO A DOUBLE PLAY YOU LOSE THERE WOULD OF BEEN NO MERCY"

"If" = key word. "Mr clutch" came up small.

So all of a sudden losing a playoff series becomes a choke? 90% of those reasons you listed are just the Yankees losing a series, not "choking". You're grabbing at straws. Actually, the Phils are bigger chokers by your logic. They have been around since 1884 and only have 2 World Series titles. Now THAT'S choking. What a joke.

RollinsMVP: your math is bad. This is the 8th time they made the playoff since they last won it in 2000. We know there are 8 teams in the playoff, and let's assume each team has an equal chance to win the championship, then a team should win a WS once every 8 times.

The Yankees might as well do it Wednesday. Then their record in the playoff would be just about average, not great, but not bad.

In fact, if they bookend this decade win Championship, then they have actually done quite good: 2 WS champs in 9 tries is way above average. That's about equal to Phillies 1 in 4 chances this decade.

The Cubs choked, the White Sox choked for a while, so did the Red Sox, but the Yankees don't choke.

Good post "Cowboys" fan...why even play this series than because until the Phils catch up to the Stanks in WS titles, it's all irrelevant correct?

and the phillies did what before last year ? dont be like a mets fan and harp on things your team isnt used to. i will give phillie fans credit for yapping after theyve done something (even if its just once in god knows how long). met fans have nothing to be proud of yet they still flap their lips.

WHAT A GREAT POST! What chokers the Yankers are! That must be an all time Major League Baseball record for choking. The Yankers ARE insane and on STEROIDS. That's the only reason they would CHOKE that much in the last 7 years. They are on them NOW! They make you manic depressive! Up and down. Drug addicts! N'er-do-wells. The Yankers are derelicts. And the final proof is the moronic low life fools posting here who are their fans.
