Thats right, the Rays are opening up against the Orioles next year!! I know there are alot of people from FL. who post on this board, so just a heads up. I havent been to opening day since a left MD back in 93. Some of my best baseball memories growing up, were when my pops would take me and my brother out of school so we could go to opening day.

Yeah, I see that too. To bad it's in the middle of the week. Kinda makes it hard to attend but we'll see. Nothing like seeing the O's play on opening day. It would be a first for me. From Boynton Beach I figure it would be a four hour drive at best. For me to go I'd have to get a room and stay for the series to make the most of it.

I'm mostly disappointed that they moved from F-Lauderdale to Sarasota for spring training. F-Lauderdale was only an half hour drive.

I wish i could go but it ain't gonna happen, unless by some miracle

a) I win the lotto
b) the baseball gods smile down on me and Mr. Angelos sends the tickets, a gas card and springs for a 5 star hotel. or
c) the bank gives me a loan (translation husband takes family to game) which is about 4 to 5 hour drive from east coast.

When the Orioles are playing in Miami, we should get together and meet a section of the stadium and have a toast to the O's. What do you think?

I'll be there so count me in. You and I are farther south then the other O's posters from Florida. Gulfbird44 is from Tampa and fl. oriole I think is from Orlando. Doesn't mean they wouldn't make the trip though.

I just checked the schedule and the three game series with the Marlins in 2010 is in Baltimore this year on June 22, 23 and 24th. Oh well maybe a spring training game then.

speaking of Orlando, we were there this weekend at Disney. In all three parks, I only saw one person with and Orioles shirt on.

I too live in Orlando, and a Orioles t-shirt or hat is a rare find but it always makes my day when I see some Orioles gear.

I will be in attendance for opening day, if anyone else is going maybe we could all meet up and tailgate before the game.
