that could put you over the top, who would it be?

I think Roy Halladay.

Imagine:
Lee
Halladay
Hamels
Happ
Blanton

That would have to be considered one of the best rotations in baseball.

Albert Pujols. And that would only be a start. Wouldn't put my team over the top.

Blanton is highly overrated.

I'm sick of hearing about him cause he's not that good, he had a decent season, and decent is the best he's ever going to do.

I guess with the other four they would be one of the best but, not the best, no rotation was as deep as the Cub's rotation, and if the cubs keep Harden, they'll still be the strongest

I hope they give Harden a deal.
He and Reed filed for FA already but I want them to sign both.

"I'm sick of hearing about him cause he's not that good, "

You never hear anything about him. He's rarely talked about.

My answer would be Chone Figgins though.

I'd like to have Reed back, but with the emergence of Sam Fuld, it looks unlikely, because you have fukudome who you can't move or bench cause he's being paid 10 mil, there's soriano, he's stuck there and there's nothing we can do about it, and if we do move milton bradley, it'll be for another outfielder, plus Sam Fuld is as good on defense, he's faster, and though it's a very small sample size, he can get on base enough to be a great lead off candidate, which we need. I really like Reed, but it's not in the Cubs' best interest to re-sign him, but there is a huge need to resign harden, especially with Lilly's surgery cause he might miss spring training because of it and might not be as sharp once the season starts, so we need the best pitching we can get.

that's just not true, maybe not in the media because they stick to big recognizable names, but all phillies fans talked about how amazing their rotation was and said that Blanton was so good and it's simply not true, their rotation is good minus him

chone figgins for what team?

Hanley Ramirez. Our shortstops are mediocre to just plain bad. Han-Ram would be an absolutely immense improvement.

Blanton was very solid this year. In July an August he was amazing.

Chone Figgins for the Phillies.

I realize that, but any player can have a good stretch, that doesn't make him great however.
he's a good 5th starter, but he's not better than that.

idk man we kinda need chone figgins too

Do you seriously think Chone Figgens would have a bigger impact than Roy Halladay?

Im trying to keep it realistic though. I don't think we'd get Halladay.

Hmmm. He'd give us a very good lead off hitter and allow us to remove Feliz, our worst overall player, from the lineup. It's tough to say, really. It'd be great if the Phillies got both. But Figgins is much more available.

You make a good case for Fuld. I've always wanted him to be a full time player. Reed has more power than Fuld and thats what OFs should have. Fuld is a great lead off hitter.

I just hope the Cubs get rid of Bradley to make room for someone else.

The bullpen looks way better than it did at the beginning of this past season too.

I heard they may get DeRosa if they don't pick up Feliz because Figgens costs too much. Also, this isn't supposed to be realistic. Would you trade Hamels straight up for Halladay? I think they could get Halladay for him or they could try 1 good prospect and two lesser known. Halladay isn't worth as much considering you'd be renting him.
