That isn't a Yankee fan or from New York?

I'm pretty sure everyone outside on their little fanbase absolutley despises them.

You either love them or hate them. I see tons of Yankee bandwagoners when they make the playoffs or win the World Series. I expect to see plenty of Yankee shirts and hats this week.

I also see USC bandwagoners. I don't expect to see many of them this week because they were pwned by Oregon State. They'll be back next week if USC wins.

I'm from Chicago, and I've been a Yankee fan since 5, so this excludes me. But I also know many people who are rooting for the bombers that aren't Yankee fans or from NY. So your theory is basically sh-t.

...The Yankees have the largest fanbase in baseball... What is this "little fanbase"?

The only reason I kind of have bad blood with the Yankee organization is because of their ignorant fans. I live in NY so I have a first hand experience at what they are like. In about 2 hours I will be speaking to over 60 Yankee fans at school. I would just like to have a baseball conversation with them peacefully without have to hear their side of the argument conclude in "We have the most championships, so shut up" or "Where is your Red Sox team now?" or "Hahaha we have a lot of money so we deserve a championship and the rest of baseball doesn't". Don't get me wrong, there are many humble Yankee fans out there, but it seems to me that when you talk baseball with most Yankee fans it's like talking to that arrogant donkey that appeared on a scene in 'Family Guy'.

I don't, obviously being a Phillie fan, but they played a good series. They capatalized on EVERY SINGLE one of our mistakes, and pitched fantastically during the series.

Though don't count us out yet. Lee, Martinez, and hopefully Lee again are coming up for the Phils.

I want the Yankees to win for the following reasons:

1. Because in 2009, they were and are the best team in baseball and those teams do not often win championships in the wildcard era.
2. Because I don't want Ramiro Mendoza to be the only recent player in baseball history with 5 championship rings.
3. Because it will give the Alex Rodriguez haters one less focal point to continually try to ignore his immense talent (teams cannot win with him).
4. Because George Steinbrenner and his family have spared no expense in putting the best product they could on the field and it would a great way to baptize the new Yankee Stadium in its inagural season just as they did in 1923 in the former stadium.
5. Because it would render any argument as to which franchise, other than the Yankees, was the most successful during the first decade of this century meaningless and irrelevant.
6. Because it's the ultimate goal at the end of a long and challenging marathon baseball season.
7. Because it will help to get Joe Girardi out of the shadow of Joe Torre.
8. Because it will silence Yankee haters in the print and electronic media who try to make a living off of the team's failures.
9. Because guys like Rivera, Jeter, Pettitte and Posada are not getting any younger.
10. Because Hideki Matsui deserves to be only the second Japanese position player or DH ever to play on a WS champion.
