OK, if the rich over-priveledged Yankees being in the WS again bothers you, show your displeasure by changing the channel. It is the only chance fans have of influencing the powers that allow this to happen so often. Deliberately kill the ratings, upset Fox, put pressure on MLB for change. You can always listen on the radio or catch the scores the next day. Besides, if the Yankees win, is it really that enjoyable to watch these over-paid jerks and their spoiled fans prance around in celebration?

Wait, aren't you the one who is usually against the World Series when wild card teams make it?

Also, aren't you a Phillies fan?

Forgive me if I'm mistaken about the team you root for, but shouldn't you be watching this series if I was correct in that assessment?

I agree. I haven't watched any post season game the yanks were in this year and I'm not going to watch the WS. I can't get interested in watching a team with a $210 payroll playing teams with 90 to 140 million less payroll and then somehow acting like it's big deal if they win. Baseball has about as much credability as professional wrestling these days.

Oh for the love of god...

What do you expect MLB to do, bar the Yankees from every competing in the world series if they earn their way there? I'm not a Yankee fan by any stretch of the imagination, but they earned their way there. They won the neccessary games to get there. Therefore, they will play in the world series. You boycotting it changes nothing. MLB isn't going to stop the Yankees from doing it or make any changes because you're a sore loser.

It’s fine that you feel that way, but I think that if you're a baseball fan, you're cheating yourself. I’d rather watch the World Series, imperfect as it is, than not watch at all.

Thanks for your support. You are correct in that Yankee fans act as if their winning 26 WS is just a wonderful feat of playing and managing. Its fun how this seems to threaten Yankee fans.

MLB did make changes because of the poor ratings back in 2000. They earned their way???....they bought their way. And yes, I expect MLB to do something to change things. So if you don't care, keep on watching and maybe you'll get to "enjoy" the Yankees and their spoiled fans celebrate again.

Should MLB have changed things when the Yankees spent even more last season and didn't even make the post-season?

That wasn't the case in the 90's. The luxury tax came about because people would not watch the Yankees dominate everyone in the WS again. Fox complained.
So, if you want to watch, maybe the Yankees will lose, but if they wind up dominating the contest or even adding another WS win to their already too long list of them, enjoy that too. In the mean time I will make my statement to the network as will others. As far as missing good games, it doesn't matter. Until there becomes more parity in the riches department, as far as I am concerned, there are no good Yankee games. I would rather not watch them and their spoiled fans celebrate.

For me watching it in the UK won't matter with your ratings, I was still going to watch it if I was in America

That is the problem. If you feel it is wrong you need to act. Just sitting back and taking whatever BS MLB expects us to is the reason the Yankees are allowed to do this so often.
