I know it's only spring training, but he looked real good. What I like about him is that he always repeats his delivery and he hides the ball so well.

If he stays healthy, he's going to have a good career in the majors.

He actually is ready. He can get major league hitters out with that stuff. If he can just bring his walk rate down to 3.5, he's going to be a beast.

His control doesn't need to be perfect. He's a power pitcher. It's very rare to see a power pitcher have great control.

I agree that he should go to the minors, but he should be the first option to bring up if someone is injured or doing bad.

Predict an exact date. Just a guess.

I wouldn't be surprised. I wouldn't be surprised if they put him in the bullpen.

The Mets will use him as a sort of promotion. They'll use early season optimism to steel tickets first. Once that dies down, they'll bring up Darnaud at the end of May. The the All Start game hype, and finally a "come out to Citi and see Wheeler" sales pitch. Also, if the team is as bad as expected, they may not want to shake his confidence by having him up here to pitch well and still compile a 5-12 record.
