PR reasons...doesn't look good having open competition for all 3 OF spots

Why is he guaranteed a starting job again<

Because they still believe he can turn it around.

I've always thought that Duda had the talent but was just not confident enough. The kid is fragile.

Keith's + Ron's comments about how Duda was shown tapes of Victorino and others at the plate doesn't exactly seem helpful...raising his bat up and holding it on his shoulder is just going to make him late on pitches because he's a bigger guy than those he's being compared to...

Still looks lost...and it still seems like they are messing with his head...

Victorino lol. He wants to learn to hit. I believe they said Votto and Agone

Yea I don't think Duda wants to swing like Victorino. They said he's trying to copy the best hitters in the game.

...yikes, absolutely right--it was Votto they mentioned...In any case, they're just messing with him again and I just don't see it working...his psyche is fragile and he doesn't move well in the outfield...

I have no idea. The organization has a crush on him.

We'll see. It'd be nice if he could have a good Spring to help his confidence going into the season.

Because even though he stinks, he stinks less than anyone else in our sorry outfield. That, if nothing else should tell you how bad the OF is.

Duda looks just like he did last year ... completely lost. Andrew Brown didn't look much better. On the other hand, I was impressed with what I saw of Cowgill and Byrd. They may not be great, but, they sure looked better than Duda. I know its the first game and all that, but, if Duda doesn't get it together, I would keep him in the minors or send him packing for a bat boy or something similar.
