He's Chad's brother?

Dunno. That's why I'm asking. I was guessing son.

Technically Chad's old enough to be this guy's father. But he would only have been 15 when the kid was born. Chad's now 38 & Chasen's 23.

Nephew? Cousin?

Fair enough. It's probably more likely that they're no relation at all. Does Chasen have a submarine delivery?

I'm no geneticist, but I don't think pitching delivery is hereditary.

He is a pure relief pitcher having not started even one game in two years.

No idea.

Always like Chad's submariner though. Thought he was underrated. Mets should've kept him.

If the Mets had kept Chad Bradford and Darren Oliver, they don't collapse in 2007 and 2008. We could be reminiscing about the mini-dynasty of those years.

+1 agreed. Never understood the loss of Oliver that year, he shined for us.

Could be. We'll never really know though.

Hopefully Alderson realizes pitching's MUCH more important than offense when it comes to winning. Alderson could easily get a very good MLB OF for Wheeler just like he got Wheeler for Beltran. Syndergaard or 1 of the other top rated pitching prospects Mets have could get a good OF too. But hopefully Alderson doesn't let any of them go.

Facts show team can win w/ above avg pitching & avg hitting. Heck -- Cincinnati won 97 gms last yr w/ above avg pitching & BELOW avg offense (Reds = 669 RS / Mets = 650 RS).
