I know it's very early and we haven't even played a Spring Training game yet but I am interested to see what everyone thinks the Opening Day roster will look like.

My prediction is

SP Johan
SP Harvey
SP Niese
SP Marcum
SP Gee

Lefty Edgin
Lefty Feliciano
MRP Burke
MRP Hawkins
MRP Atchison
SU Lyon
CL Parnell (I'll predict Francisco isn't ready for Opening Day but I really have no idea)

Line-Up

Tejada
Murphy
Wright
Davis
Duda
Cowgill/Kirk
Buck
Baxter/Byrd

Bench:
Recker
Turner
Quintanilla

Yep. That seems just about right to me. The only difference I would make is to trade in Brown for Byrd. I'm just really not all that impressed by a 35 year old coming off a year he was banned for PED use. I'd rather give Brown a shot.

I'm interested to see who they take to be the last outfielder (assuming Kirk, Duda, Cowgill, and Baxter make the team). I wonder if they'd really try to put Turner or Lutz in RF.

I hope not.

I like Quintanilla better then Cedeno he played well for the Orioles last year
After the Mets released him.

I'd love to see Valdespin make the team as a bench player but I think we'll go with the righty bats. He'll be up at some point no doubt.

That is a lot of additions to the 40 man roster.

Seem pretty close but Hicks is going to be the backup shortstop. Also I agree with some other folks that Andrew Brown is a better bet than Byrd.

I hope not Hicks is terrible. I'd much rather have Q as the backup shortstop.
