Someone just tweeted this and I had to post it here.
The two highest paid outfielders on the Mets payroll this year are Jason Bay and Bobby Bonilla.
Happy 2013 guys.
Enjoy the season everyone and lets hope 2014 will be better.

Kinda makes you sick to your stomach, doesn't it? Well, they are off the payroll this year, I think. Unless Jeffy is keeping Bobby Bo as his play toy.

Technically they are not Bay gets paid 5 million a year for two more years and Bonilla gets a million a year for at least 10 more years maybe longer.

That rates beyond technically. Gawd what were these people thinking? Don't answer, I already know. Like I said, sick to your stomach. Bobby Bo is definitely Jeffys boy.

I wonder who is paying their outfield less -- The Mets or Astros?

I presume you mean only counting the players who are on the field.

its 1.2 million for 25 years. they deferred 5.9 million to pay him 30 million. thankfully the johan deferred money hit wont be so bad.

The deal they made in theory wasn't a bad one, only required an 8% Return on investment in order to come out ahead.

LOL....they must be tired flying all the way from Houston...(I know, not too funny).

We have our own Killer Bees, unfortunately, you're right.

But, Fred said they have money now (lol), so even though those deals were bad, we're good. Phew.

The differed numbers don't count against payroll any way and usually become a wash since when they have to start paying one players deferred amount they will have players on the payroll with deferred amounts equal to the ones being paid.
