Juan Pierre and his $800,000 salary will put up comparable if not better numbers than Bourn this year. Pierre heads back to the place he had his best seasons and will lead off as a full time player once again.

Not a bad pickup by Marlins for a 1 yr deal. He put up decent numbers last year at age 34.

Captain Kirk and Cowgill should look at the non-Bourn signing as an opportunity to try and win a full-time job. I think Kirk has the talent to do so, but not sure he's got the head/heart to get over the hump. fingers crossed.
