"A winning BB team might be a better way? "

Very true, but then again, baseball teams don't always win, but the house ALWAYS wins :)

If they know as much about casinos as they do about baseball, they will lose money there too.

I like playing - I visit casinos in the area all the time - But I will NEVER EVER visit theirs (IF they ever build one). I hate them. I know "hate" is a strong word, but so are my feelings for these people.

What if the Mets win the WS? You'd still hate them? You still wouldn't go to their casino (if they build one)?

Hate really IS a strong word. I assume they've never done anything to you personally or someone you care about (I hope). Just dislike them & disagree with them for not doing what you think should be done with our beloved team. But hate is such an ugly word. And even uglier reality. And I've NEVER seen it make anyone feel better.

Nothing wrong with hate. Who are you to judge her for it?

How am I judging her? Just pointing out that hate is generally not a good state to be in. Doesn't make people feel better & changes nothing.

I'm sure her whole life is not overwhelmed by hate for the Wilpons. But when the issue comes up, she expresses how she feels.

I'm still reeling from hearing that news. I thought it was a joke. It is a joke, isn't it?

Nothing wrong with feeling whatever you feel. Just saying maybe it's a good idea to reserve real hatred for situations that really matter. Like if someone purposely did something really bad to you or someone you really care about.

To each her or his own though. Just expressing my opinion. You're free to express yours too.

It's old new, proposal was denied 2 years ago.

...this is why you get attacked, you narrow-minded simpleton...I'll try to explain this to you using small words so as not to confuse you...
...I am a METS fan...I am also a BASEBALL fan...rooting FOR the Mets does not mean I root for the owners...I do not like the owners...the owners, like you, are worthless...but I will ALWAYS root for the Mets...a troll like you will never understand that...

...seems serious...and the trick to get around it from what I read was to have the land made into Native-American land and that way they can get around the law...the owners go from one money scandal to another...

Wow! You judge people all the time. What about the tread you started that said there was too much optimism on this board? That isn't judging people? You really are confused. What is calling people koolaiders mean if it is not judging others. You Hypocrite!

Actualy, the proposal was just reported in yesterday's NY Post. Not that the Post is the most reliable source of information, but it's not old news.
