Not sure if anyone made a thread about the screwing of Strahan yet...so here's mine. Are the moronic baseball writers the same idiots who vote on the NFL HoF too? How could you POSSIBLY not put Strahan, one of the best defensive player of ALL TIME, in the HoF???? It's just amazing...and I think there is some anti-NY bias or something...

Is he a HOF player? Of course. Did he probably deserve to go in first ballot? Yes. But he's not Reggie White. He is, however, Doleman or Dent. He's one of the greatest defensive players of all time if your list goes up to about 50 - 75

strahan had sort of a up and down relationship with the media... same as parcells.... hence the one year wait.

Warren Sapp wasn't exactly great with the media either. The NFL system is just flawed and creates too many logjams. We're seeing it with wide receivers and that list is only going to get worse with the names that will be eligible in the upcoming years.

another part is that they HAVE to put in a certain number of people. as far as sapp goes him going in over strahan is a JOKE.

Seriously, best defensive player of all time? I don't think he is top 10 or even 20.
Deacon Jones, Reggie White, and Bruce Smith are the three greatest defensive lineman and Strahan is not even close.

I disagree. Sapp was a beast. He was easily the best defensive tackle of his generation. How many defensive tackles get 10 sacks in a season, let alone doing that 4 times? The guy was a monster. Strahan will likely get in next year. It's hard to argue with anybody who got in this year.

They were all beasts. Anyone who's being considered was a beast at their position. Sapp was just as good at his position as Strahan was at his.
