in today's Newsday it's reported Roy Oswalt's agent said he was surprised that the Mets said they were interested in his client and apparently he hadn't heard a word from the organization in that regard

reports are they had interest if they didnt get marcum...but then they got marcum.....

i doubt oswalt even considers signing before may anyway

Perhaps the Mets were shy about their interest. They must've been showing their interest from afar. LOL.

To be serious, I don't see why we need to sign him. If Gee or Santana falter, we have a guy like Mejia who we should be looking towards before we should be signing old faltering pitchers like Oswalt.

Thats about right. The mets are interested in everyone and darn it we tried but they got away.

Be better if they could get a power hitting RF instead of another SP they seem on paper to be pretty deep in SP as it is.
