D'Arnaud>>>>>Sanchez

So we are trading Niese for a bp arm and a prospect? Not thanks...we can get more than that by trading Niese ALONE.

The truth is Robertson while a good setup man didn't pitch well as a closer last season (that's why the Yankees had to go back to Soriano) and the other thing is even as a Setupman he's somebody who is known for getting into big Jams (like often loading the bases) yes it's truth most of the time he gets out of the jams but we all know Mets fans don't have the patience for pitchers who make them nervous every game.

And Niese is the only left handed starting pitcher that the Mets have in the organization ready for ML. So just how is a one inning relief pitcher going to help the team more than a left handed starter signed to a good contract for the next 5 years? Especially since Robertson is making the same amount this year as Niese and has only one more year of arbitration left.

So unless you think we are going all the way this year or next without Niese what good would that trade be?
