Yea, I'd rather have kept Jose too. But Jose is gone. He's off the table. But we still badly need speed and defense and don't have anything legitimate on the way.

Who's saying I know how good the player is going to be? I have no idea but the point is neither do you. And Den Dekker is not a highly touted prospect. You don't turn down signing a guy like Bourn because Matt Den Dekker is on the way.

He started out wanting a contract with a total value of more than what the Braves paid Upton. No team that could use a centerfielder has paid him that yet. As usual Boras has over valued his player. Bourn isn't worth 15M per.

How do you know if Reyes turned down Mets offer of $15M (or more)/yr for 5 yrs? For more $$$/ yrs from Marlins?
