It's totally unfair that a team would lose a protected pick because another team could'nt sign their 1st round pick last year. Whether it's losing a protected pick or forrieting a 2nd round pick, there would have to be a change in the CBA. They should do that as this situation will come up again. I'm sure the union would support it.
