The Braves now have 4 outfielders and a third baseman that are better than any one outfielder than the Mets have.

Yeah, the upton signing and than trade for his brother definitely makes them on paper an excellent out field and much better than the mets but if the mets can sign Bourn and than still trade for a legit/proven RF than they can jump right back in the race, it is up to the Wilpons and then Sandy to get it done prior to the season starting.

I'm still on the fence about Bourn, if they can get their first round pick protected and sign him to a one yea deal, i'm on board. I definitely think the addition of Marcum means you have secondary prospects like meija for example that can net a starting rh of like aj pollack from arizona.

I agree that games aren't played on paper, but my point wasn't about team chemistry, but about talent alone, and talent alone the uptons, heyward, prado (unless he was included in the deal), and schafer are all better than any of the mets currently

yep, AND the Braves got a TOP 3b prospect on TOP of Upton....the Braves organization really knows how to run an MLB team. They just lost their HoF 3b in Chipper...so what do they do??? They go out and get their future 3b right away!

is it Chris Johnson? If so he's not a top 3b prospect, he's average at best

Yeah, they run a solid organization. Even with the loss of Delgado their mlb staff and minor league prospects are ridiculous.
