Low risk, if healthy (big if though) he'll provide solid middle of the rotation production. And totally be able to flip him for a prospect at the deadline.

True. But I go into this hoping that Sandy basically just acquired a decent prospect/useful piece such as a 4th OF from a team that can function as a starter for us for whatever we signed this guy from.

I'll be upset if he's here past the trade deadline.

agree, how much did he get? my guess 1 yr, $3m with incentives for another $1.5m to $3m, starts, inninngs etc.

we traded ace dickey, and marceum is in his walk yr, so yes flip him to a contender by deadline AND bring wheeler up, don't forget about wheeler!
