What will the Mets starting line up and pitching staff look like? There just seems to be so many question marks.

Without any changes:

Tejada SS
Murphy 2B
Wright 3B
Davis 1B
Duda LF
D'Arnaud C
Nieuwenhuis RF
Den Dekker CF

That's alot of lefties

We don't know when D'Arnaud comes up but he won't be on the opening day roster. So it will be Buck hitting after Duda.

And you're right, we have alot of lefty bats with no viable right handed bats to platoon with them.

Why would the Mets do something that no other franchise does with a rookie?

Just as the Rays brought up Longoria, Yankees brought up Cano, so will the Mets bring up D'Arnaud.

That team can definitely battle for a fourth place finish.

I don't think Den Dekker's the opening day CF, nor do I think D'Arnaud's the starting catcher opening day either. I think you're looking at Cowgill in CF, and possibly leading off too given his speed. (with Capt. Kirk in RF)

because hes already mastered the PCL and the only reason he wont be our starting catcher opening day is bc they would like to delay his FA clock

"How do you know ?"

So they can get another year of control. It is pretty much standard practice in MLB nowadays by teams in all markets. It is a way around the super 2 part of the collective bargaining agreement.

i think he was implying that he may not be ready at that time

hes one of the "realists" that think this was a bad trade bc tda is "unproven" and subject to be a bust....hes essentially saying how do you even know he'll be ready by may bc hes such an unknown quantity that could be the next fmart

you know, pure asinine drivel
