We don't know when D'Arnaud comes up but he won't be on the opening day roster. So it will be Buck hitting after Duda.

And you're right, we have alot of lefty bats with no viable right handed bats to platoon with them.

Just as the Rays brought up Longoria, Yankees brought up Cano, so will the Mets bring up D'Arnaud.

Longoria made his debut in April though.

That team can definitely battle for a fourth place finish.

I don't think Den Dekker's the opening day CF, nor do I think D'Arnaud's the starting catcher opening day either. I think you're looking at Cowgill in CF, and possibly leading off too given his speed. (with Capt. Kirk in RF)

So they can get another year of control. It is pretty much standard practice in MLB nowadays by teams in all markets. It is a way around the super 2 part of the collective bargaining agreement.
