well Wilson is still out there with no offers that i've heard of and coming off his second TJ surgery so i don't think there's any nefarious intent by the Mets there

and i'd certainly end discussions with Ariz. of they asked for Wheeler

Did any other teams watch him and pass judgement? If other teams said the same thing, there's no problem. If none of them said he's not ready, then I agree it's an issue.

Well, think about it: If he's still not major league ready after a second TJ surgery would YOU pay him...?

Apparently The Beard is in "low-risk, high return" territory in terms of potential salary, but if he won't acknowledge that then the smart owners' hands are tied. He's looking for that proverbial "one dumb owner" so he can get paid. We're probably looking at the March-May range before he signs anywhere...

Would love to see them take a shot with wilson. But it has to be a reasonable contract. TJ surgery doesn't scare me even if it is his 2cd. But I also have to wonder when he will actually be ready to pitch? Signing him when he may not pitch till june??? Seeing he has not been signed yet by anyone maybe other teams feel the same?? A BP rich team that is just looking for a possible midyear shot in the arm would be a good fit. The mets NEED BP arms on the field OD not 2 or 3 months down the road. And if it means he has to be on the roster that means someone has to be left off and would be subject to being lost.
