Good player with pop and can hit for a decent average....though he is a lefty. He is owed quite a bit of money and the only way I could see him being a fit is if the Dodgers ate at least half of his contract and wouldn't cost much at all in the talent department.

we finally will have salary cap flexabilty next year I doubt he will tie up all those funds on a 30 year old OF.

Just doesn't make sense to make that move. If we are making a move for an OF it is probably a younger OF that is still on his first contract.

hunter pence could be just as good.hes a little younger and might not ask for asmuch.and we can get him without giving up prospects.ill wait till next year on that.

then, if Murphy is our 2b again, thats another L

then we have den dekker, duda, and kirk gunning for OF spots as L - ethier would presumably replace one of them

but then you have flores trying to break through some where as a R

If they resigned hairston and then brought in ethier and went w/ either den dekker or kirk in CF & I know its a long shot but IF they give flores the job at 2b, which i do think is a possibility, that would be 5 of 8 positions manned by righties
