    • How would Omary have handled the Dickey trade?

I GUARANTEE he wouldn't have gotten as much as Sandy did. He probably would have traded him for Alfonso Soriano or something. But seriously, we would have settled for Gose and Arrencibia most likely...

Be fair to him though - he signed him.

Omar was very good at finding value off of the scrap heap, nobody can dispute that. he isn't near Sandy's class though when it comes to manipulating markets and negotiating.

"Anthony DiComo ?@AnthonyDiComo

Found old release from when #Mets signed Dickey. Lumped him in with Russ Adams, Mike Cervenak, Jesus Feliciano, Andy Green, Mike Hessman. "

Omar would have tried to create some all-in-one trade with Dickey that probably would have brought us back Vernon Wells, a relief pitcher, and some high upside prospect in A ball.

Omar would have signed Dickey for 5 years 75 million with an option for a 6th year at 20 million.

None of us know what would have transpired as Omar is currently not here. Lets all stop living in the past and let bygones be bygones. Be happy with the trade, move forward not backward.
