and who is playing 1b, I say keep Ike at first and tell the Wilpons to let Sandy go and get out field help in free agency and/or trade but don't weaken first base to try and improve the outfield. Ike is going to be fine there and that is one of the positions that the mets are fine at.

Yeah lets make a hole somewhere where we have production to try and get production in another area. What a dumb thing to say. Seriously I cant tell if some of you people are trolls or just have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to sports.

And who plays 1B? And where do we get his 30+ homeruns from? He's not a big contract player in the last part of his career. We need to keep him if we are to improve.

no brainer.....

your right trading him would require not having a brain. unless we are pulling in another bonofide power threat (im talking stanton, trout, etc ) in this deal then thats a big h#ll no

No, at this point in time, he is the only true power hitter that the Mets have in the lineup.

If you trade Ike to the Giants what big bopper of an outfielder are you going to get? Pagan, Torres? They don't have any players available that we need.
