Isn't TC managing the season as a lame duck meaning that he is in the final year of his contract? If that is the case I wouldn't be surprised if he is on the hot seat early if the Mets start off slow. This will not be TC's fault.

He won't be on the hot seat, nor should he be. Both Sandy and the Wilpons understand the situation at hand that this team isn't expected to be competitive.

He will not be on the hot seat at all....this move was not expected to turn us into 2013 contenders...remember we still have no outfield, no bullpen, and a weaker rotation.

The most dangerous thing for a manager is high expectations. That does not seem to be the case for the Mets this year.

In my opinion I do believe that he may be on the hot seat because he is managing for a contract and usually lame duck managers get tuned out by players sad but true.
