I rather have Hairston than Ross to be honest. I feel like Ross' numbers were up only because he played at Fenway. I'd take them both. Duda and Niewenhuis are too streaky.

not saying we couldn't, although that very might be an unspoken fact. just don't think bourne is worth that salary. i don't want to cut bay just to sign someone else to a ridiculously overpaid contract.

He bats .285-.300 with 40+ SB a year. He'd create runs that we miss from Reyes.

He'd be valuable, sure. But would I give him near to 15 mill a year for 4 years? No.

4/40 is most i'd be willing to go for him. I think other teams feel similarly since he hasn't been signed yet.

Most people here would have been OK with that contract for Reyes last year.

Bourn's been much healthier tha Reyes and their offensive numbers are very similar.

Bourn is a great defensive CFer and leadoff hitter.

Bourn will turn 30 this month. I don't think it would be a terrible deal, anything less would be a real good deal.

Reyes definitely has more pop and more value at his position. To compare the 2 is unfair to Reyes.
