If Gose is not in the package I'd sign Bourne. Not to that contract though.

they can ask for our 40 man roster, doesn't mean they'll get it.

I thought the Mets would be in on a guy like Victorino given their search for a great defensive OF, but eh. If Bourn looks for a one year deal to test the market next winter, never know.

settle down tyrion! i don't want victorino on this ballclub anyway. i'd react similarly to many yankee fans when they got youk.

thought you Wolverines (congrats by the way) were more savvy than that!!

no way that first deal is going down

i could live with that Bourne deal as there's really little option in our minors at this point or unless Gose comes back in the deal

Cody Ross AT THAT PRICE would be a decent move

i wouldn't do Hairston if we're going to get Bourn and Ross,i'd rather Kirk and Duda battle out left field

5m less on the payroll from Wright

5m less from Bay

5m less from Dickey

and we had 15m to spend

so that would be 30m to spend i think we could..

I rather have Hairston than Ross to be honest. I feel like Ross' numbers were up only because he played at Fenway. I'd take them both. Duda and Niewenhuis are too streaky.

not saying we couldn't, although that very might be an unspoken fact. just don't think bourne is worth that salary. i don't want to cut bay just to sign someone else to a ridiculously overpaid contract.

He bats .285-.300 with 40+ SB a year. He'd create runs that we miss from Reyes.

He'd be valuable, sure. But would I give him near to 15 mill a year for 4 years? No.

4/40 is most i'd be willing to go for him. I think other teams feel similarly since he hasn't been signed yet.

if we could get him for 4/40 that'd be a slam dunk

Most people here would have been OK with that contract for Reyes last year.

Bourn's been much healthier tha Reyes and their offensive numbers are very similar.

Bourn is a great defensive CFer and leadoff hitter.

Bourn will turn 30 this month. I don't think it would be a terrible deal, anything less would be a real good deal.

Reyes definitely has more pop and more value at his position. To compare the 2 is unfair to Reyes.
