I guess he kinda becomes obsolete.

I'd have a veteran back for Travis, but I'd keep Plawecki. You never know. He was ranked very good in the draft, and as a college player, it should not take him much longer to get to the majors. For all we know Travis maybe not work out that well, and maybe Plawecki does... lol If nothing else, we bring up Plawecki when he is a ready and let him backup Travis for awhile - or until he can be traded.

We really have no idea what Plawecki ends up being anyway. I saw him last year in Brooklyn, and didn't completely love his swing. Organizational depth at key spots such as catcher is really important.

He'll just be another catcher in the oranization that will give them depth.
