And can Sandy be pushing for Gose? The Mets have said this whole time that they want TWO top prospects for Dickey.

Yep.

4th OFers are a dime a dozen. Nieuwenhuis should never be a deal breaker.

I think at this point some fans would be happy with just getting D'Amaud back.

But part of the whole point of dealing Dickey, is to fill "holes", so I'd like to get back more than just one guy.

Though if the one guy you are getting back is an elite prospect, then I don't think the other guy has to elite. Maybe just top teir

What makes you say that? I'm not a huge fan of Gose, but I would trade Kirk for him in a heartbeat.

The Phillies traded him to get Halladay? And the Mets could trade Dickey to get him?
That would be priceless.

FYI Gose was ranked #9 on milb.com top prospect list to start last year.

Just sayin, he has some potential.

If the Jays gave the Mets the acceptable offer and everyone else like the Rangers and Orioles are dropping out, why would they be trying to get more out of the Jays?

"Why would they be trying to get more out of the Jays? "

Why wouldn't they? And I think the Angels are still in. Or they can still keep him, a lot of options to try to squeeze every thing you can.

If they are trying to get more out of the Jays then the Jays have not already given them the acceptable offer.
This whole frenzy today started with word that the Mets informed the other teams trying to get Dickey that they had an acceptable offer and were giving the other teams a chance to beat that offer.
So trying to get more out of the Jays means they were not the ones that gave the acceptable offer.

My guess is no one.
I don't think they are close to a trade with anyone.
I think the Wilpons and Sandy Alderson were so upset with the Xmas party thing that they are pushing as hard as they can to get him in another uniform.
