why not ? lets say harvey and wheeler are 1 and 2 when were ready to compete in like 3 years, gee a 4 or 5 devolp 1 of mejia,familla gorski FULLMER etc to fill a spot, sign a F.A. who is like a 3 or better (by then we should be able to afford one) and we will be a talented and up and comming team, IMO,.. By all means trade a young lefty with a reasonable contract for prospects that may or may not become ML talent. Leave the team without a left handed starter. Yeah that will happen. NOT!
