dickeys age is a huge factor. whether some want to accept it or not. his age seems to be a factor in mets offers to him also.

i agree with you,i think other teams are missing the boat as far as Dickey is concerned...

Dickey is IMO the perfect pitcher for a current contender....i honestly think he's got at least 3 years left in him and even just meeting his contract "demands" at an extra 2 years for 26 million you're getting a Cy Young award winner coming off 3 excellent seasons for 3 years/31 million,VERY inexpensive considering the way the market has evolved

wakefield made the AS team at age 42, even though he was mostly mediocre after age 39.

he certainly doesn't stink but that wasn't my point
