While obviously all the talk now will be the Angels and Dickey, why not kick the tires on Soriano?

The Cubs are willing to pay approximately $26MM of the $36MM remaining on Alfonso Soriano’s contract if they get the right prospect back in a trade, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports (on Twitter).

2/$10M is certainly something that can be lived with and gives a big RH bat (with horrible defense). Wonder what kind of prospect it would take for them to eat that much.

If we were to take on ANY significant money, they aren't getting much more than Havens from us...if I'm trading someone like Flores, it would be part of a package to get an impact piece for the FUTURE.
