He didn't play well for the mets so good luck to him in SF (he had a season or two of success with them) but i'm fine with the mets letting him go. The mets however need to start bring in some out fielders as they are depleted at the position right now, Sandy and the Wilpons need to get to work if they want fans to show up at citi field this coming season.

Don't forget we subtracted Bay too. That is double the addition.

alderson was swapping PAGAN a piece he really wasnt thrilled with (see the NY DAILY NEWS artcile about grumpy '11 Angel) and didnt really want to pay for SOLID BULLPEN ARM with a very good track record.

Torres was just a throw in.

Ramirez did not perfrom.

It really wasnt a bad plan, just didnt work out.

Since they gave Pagan $40M they can keep him too.
