I would like to get Choo, but resigning Ludwick and giving up Stubbs to get Choodoesn't make the Reds outfield significantly better than it was.

Well Choo is a FAR better offensive player than Stubbs. That, at least, would constitute a nice improvement, which is more than can be said for this team.

in the reds lineup, choo is a large upgrade over stubbs. not really comparable.

This is apparently part of a three team deal with the Diamondbacks also involved.

Always downplaying other team's improvements while lauding our team despite its inactivity.

Stubbs had a off year last year but I wouldn't say Choo would make their outfield significantly better, Choo is definitely the better player though. See if Choo was added to our outfield then I would agree that he would make the Mets outfield significantly better. Our outfield is so bad I Stubbs would probably make them significantly better, would much rather have Choo but I'll sign up right now for a CFer who has averaged 17-20 HRs and 30+ SBs the past 3 years. Plus Stubbs is under 3 years of control while Choo is fopne in one.

Well you're wrong because it does make them significantly better. Stubbs is nothing but a fourth outfielder who strikes out a ton. Choo would make their lineup so much deeper.

reds are a competitive team now. so this move makes sense.

I feel like we can make a better offer then Stubbs and Didi Gregorius

choo could be a 1 year rental and will cost close to 8 million in arbitration for 2013. thats enough for the mets not to be interested.

your right... choo is much better than stubbs and reds may look to keep him... would not be a surprise.

I really wish Scott Boras was not his agent. I wonder if there would be a possible extension window talk if we could pull off a trade. There is such a large Korean market in NY for Choo.

That seems to be what's expected:

Reds get: Shin-Soo Choo and Jason Donald
D'Backs get: Didi Gregorius
Indians get: Drew Stubbs and ARI pitcher
