Trading Dickey, in my estimation, would be a catastrophic mistake.

I think if the Mets went after a catcher they would want one who could play now, not 3-4 years from now.

I like Brinson.. But Brinson can not be traded yet. Well he can but he can only be traded as a player to be named.. in which he would stay with the Rangers organization and then moved after the date that he signed his rookie contract..

If the Mets trade Murphy who would they play at 2B? Furthermore what use does Texas have for Murphy? They have AS's across 3B, SS, 2B and Murphy doesn't hit enough to play 1B.

for when beltre goes on the dl, and a ytility 3b 2b and 1b, Im not saying my offer is full proof, just a suggestion, what would be yours?

Harvey and Wheeler will be solid pitchers by 2015.

Niese will hopefully be pitching as good as he did in 2012.

Dickey has mastered the Knuckleball, and should pitch at least as good as he did in 2011.

Thats 4 Very Good Starters, with the potential of Amazing starters.

You add a couple hitters the next couple offseasons, the Mets could be Very Good in 2015.

I would take Dickey for Olt and Leonys Martin if we could get it. Then all of the sudden instead of having 15-20M to spend on 2 outfielders and a catcher, you have 20-25M to spend on just one catcher and maybe a cheap starter like Lannan. So I then would sign Priezynski. And maybe even Hairston if their is still money left and he is reasonable.

yea and we saw his great numbers, I know it was his first year in pro ball etc.

He was far from terrible, 7 HRs in 216 Abs avg a little low at .250 but had a .345 OBP.

I'd personally try and get a package around Mesoraco from Cincinatti.
