no, it's unrealistic, we can not make enough moves without creating holes in pitching etc, to compete in 2013. This has to be done a step (or two) at a time. We have enough salary coming off the books next year, so I think we add to the team at that time and can compete in 2014.

Why would Cleveland trade Choo for scraps?

No, have you seen the Nationals and Braves? Have you seen the Cardinals, dodgers, giants, reds?

Very true, but no need to panic (or is there? haha) The Nats and Braves are definitely a problem. The Cards are good, but we beat them in their own field, we can beat the giants (with our current roster) as long as we're not facing Cain, The Dodgers? eh?, The Reds are a formidable foe outside of division. The Brew Crew are capable of mass destruction, also a team to watch.

i like choo, not bad, but if we trade for olt (dickey) and can flip olt led package for stanton, how about this: 1. m.bourn,l,cf 2.r.tejada,ss,r. 3. d.wright,3b,r. 4. m.stanton,rf,r. 5. ike davis,1b, l. 6. s.hairston, lf, r.7. d. murphy,2b,l. 8. catcher? sign bourn 4yrs w 5th yr option, $13m per; sign hairston 2 yrs $4.5m per, 3. trade dickey for olt and whatever other decent prospects you can get, 5. trade olt, duda, valdespin, and mejjia or gee for stanton. 6. sign john lannan, 2yrs, $8m. backload a piece of bourn, hairston, lannan deals remembering santana's 25m comes off books after 2013. ROTATION: santana harvey niese gee or mejjia and lannan with wheeler in reserve at AAA. BULLPEN: FF,parnell, edgin, familia, carson, hefner, e.ramirez. BENCH: turner, catcher, baxter, and ?.
