It mostly pointless even trying to talk rational to some of these people. It's like the Mets front office is darn if they do, and darned if they don't. If some of these poeple wanna sit around all day dreaming up conspiracy theories, as if Sandy doesn't have anything better to do with his time than to find new ways to lie to and screw-with fan's heads, then let them wallow in it.

Exactly. And that information filters down from the front office. They want to put out there that they tried but the Royals were asking for an insane amount. Truth is they don't even want Wil Myers.

Sure, but then why the posturing? Eliminate the Wright deal and you'd think that the Mets FO don't really care what the fans think. This would be a move that the vast majority of "fans" would barely notice, even if it had the potential to greatly improve the team. I doubt they're going thru great lengths to appease the state of mind of the hardcore fans.
