Clearly, Sandy is not capable of improving this team in either the short or long term. The Wilpons should offer other teams with TALENTED general managers our best prospect for a GM in return. This would certainly be in the Mets best interest.

I do realize the irony. But I was really trying to employ a different rhetorical too...and that is hyperbole. My point, as you may have guessed, is that I believe Sandy is not sufficiently proactive in making moves that are in the best long-term interests of the organization.
