Even one legitimate bat is not enough to fix it...and by legitimate I mean someone better than Scott Hairston...Duda/Kirk/Baxter is an embarrassment.

no doubt, Sandy has alot of work to do. I would agree Hairston alone would not get it done, they need at least two quality MLB outfielders and one needs to be a RH power bat who can start the other needs to be either a starting CF with lead off ability and i'm still not sure where Duda fits but i'd suspect he will be in LF.

Upton would have been perfect.

Choo would have been good.

Ludwick would have been acceptable.

None of those options are available because the Wilpons are pocketing the deferred money from Bay and Wright's contracts (upwards of $20M).

well, you really can't blame everyone for being skeptical that things are actually going to get done and money will be spent. Looking at the past, there were numerous occasions where one thing was SAID and something else occurred...and other times where we were flat out LIED to. Seeing is believing with this ownership...they have earned it.

"Hairston is a 5Th outfielder "

He's a 3.5. Should only start against lefties and occassionally righties.

Please look at his numbers from last year.

I suppose we can live with it. We did last year.
