Come on guys give DW a break. He is such a simple guy. Sandy must have told him I pinkie promise Dave I will sign a player. DW must have said ok Sandy I feel much better now.

And I'm sure Wright's agents are "simple" too. And his agents also don't know David could've gotten a lot more on the open market after 2013.

..."if Delgado didnt teach him how to quit"...just another defeatist comment...when Delgado played, the Mets were a winning team...he kept the team afloat all by himself until he finally broke down...you need real baseball knowledge...

"You think DW's a quitter?"

No, he didn't quit killing the mets by swindling them for an overpriced 8 year contract.

"No, he didn't quit killing the mets by swindling them for an overpriced 8 year contract. "

You mean like pretty much every other FA?

Werth swindled, Crawford swindled, Bell swindled, Pujols swindled ... etc etc etc

Bay could be called a swindler in that case. But not David, he didn't go to free agency and milk the teams for all he could get. He just accepted an offer that his team made to him. No one was forced into anything.

well if the mets offered him any less he would come out by telling people "close to him" that he felt insulted by the low offer. Mets did it so they didn't appear to jip him
