i dont understand how this mkaes us great. it gives us a great prospect, but it subtracts a 20 game winning cy young pitcher and a young 30 homer 100 rbi boarderline gg caliber first baseman.

"i dont understand how this mkaes us great."

LOL ignore him. He's not a Met fan and makes these ridiculous trades that are stupid from a Met point of view just to stir things up.

Niese for Profar, Tejada, Flores and Duda for Upton. Profar takes over at short, Upton takes left and we all live happily ever after.

The problem is that probably blows the whole budget.

Texas says no. Profar is the number 1 prospect in baseball. You don't trade that type of player. Smart teams won't mortgage a projected superstar for an avg 1B and an aging (though fantastic) pitcher. Especially considering they can afford to be active in the FA mkt without giving anyone up.

The team is committed to Gecchini, or whatever his name is.

Way too much to give up for a 19 year old prospect.

Would you take Bryce Harper. I hear he's pretty good.

He's a major leaguer though. There's a difference. It's taboo to trade two established major leaguers for one prospect.

no i am not kidding and what makes this trade work is if you look at the thread look at how many people said this wouldnt make sense for the mets and then the other posts have people saying why would the rangers trade their number 1 prospect. Obviously if there is a mix of it wouldnt make sense for both teams that means its an equal, sensible trade.... i win
