If its between the 2, who do you want?

Figure they get 3-4 year deals, obviously Victorino would get more coin.

Victorino

Melkey will stink like he did with the Braves without his Roids.

The Wilpons won't sign either...or anyone else you ever heard of. If the Mets do sign a free agent, the response will be...Who??... you'll go look him up.

Victorino in a heart beat. He's the type of hard-nosed player the Mets need.

Problem is, would the fans accept him, and bigger problem, will he accept the Mets? While a phillie, he was one of the main antagonist of the rivalry. Who can forget his dirty slide against Reyes? See him in a Mets uniform would be like seeing John Starks in a Chicago Bulls uniform; if just doesn't seem right.

Mets will get both.....by signing Shane Cabrerra of the Mexican League.....a light hitting, lefty corner OF with no speed, or power.

god no to victorino....the guy is a bum and he's plummeting fast - the guy has mediocre power at best, hes no longer a good defensive cf, and he hasnt hit above 280 since 2009.....

id be ok w/ melky (as much as it would kill me to root for a cheater) so long as it is a one year deal w/ no option and no chance that they extend him

As a Phils fan, I say stay away from Victorino. As some on here have noted, he's been moving downhill. His best days are behind him.

Would certainly be odd seeing Victorino in a Met uni. You guys absolutely hated him for so long, but if he were to become a Met - and played well - you'd love him. We'd do the same thing if we somehow ended up with Wright.

It's all about the laundry.

I vote for neither. But if they somehow became Mets, I'd root for them because, well, I'm a Mets fan.

HaHaHa. That is funny. Sign neither. Why sign these guys on the down side of their careers? The Mets would because they would be cheap.
This team needs to be blown up, except for the young pitchers and younger players like Tejada. Otherwise, everyone else is expendable. The argument about resigning Pelfrey is a joke. He is everything that was wrong with this team in the past. I would much rather lose with the younger guys, than with the same bunch the past 5 years.
