When gas prices go up, it's not the president's fault. When gas prices go down it's: "Great job Mr. President!"
I thought the president had no control over gas prices. Which is it?
They were $4 in the Summer of 2008 when Bush was president, and what brought the gas prices down to under $2 later?, the Huge Recession that cost McCain the election, so really if you want low gas prices (under $2) you need about 800K jobs a month losses then you can get sub-$2 gas prices, and yet the Republicans in Congress feel the need to give the oil companies their $4B every year (even though they make almost $200B in profits every year).
Nomatter who becomes President the Republicans in congress really need to go!
They have been drilling more oil in the US than ever, but they already signed a deal with Exxon to send the Keystone XL pipeline oil overseas, so it's not a matter of drilling more oil it's a matter of how much profits the oil companies can make (which they can make more money selling the oil overseas obviously b.c that's where they are selling the increased oil they have drilled)
Now the GOP is obviously in the pocket of big oil b.c they are giving them $4B every year (even though they make nearly $200B profits) and they spew the Big Oil line, since they are already drilling more US oil than ever before and people are driving less in the US than before , the gas prices should be going down not up (it's all a big oil scam to make increased record profits every year!).
They'll find any excuse they can to increase gas prices every Summer (b.c that's how they make bigger profits every Summer, and they got the GOP giving them cover by blaming Obama or any Democrat they can for it, but it doesn't change the fact that they are drilling and exporting a record amount of oil overseas and they are making record profits, and that's why they do it there's no oil shortage, they just make higher profits by increasing gas prices whenever they can(their profits go up and their executive salaries go up every single year, and the GOP gives them cover by blaming any Democrat they can think of!
<<Maybe if we re-elect him this November we will see gas prices fall to $3.25 / gal!!!!!!!!!!!>>
I just paid $3.20 a gallon for gas.
