Francisco faced 5 batters

...got 2 outs on the 1st 2 hitters he faced
...went full on 3 of the 5 batters (including the 1st 2)
...walked 1 of them
...another batter swung at ball 4 (flied out to right)
...gave up a base hit

A very shaky performance. I would NOT trust this guy in a 1 or 2 run game.

...and with all of that, he still dropped his ERA by 50 points. 8.04, baby!!!!

When he warms up in the pen, I immediately reach for the tequila bottle.

The mere sight of Francisco warming up in a tie game, or 1 or 2 run game may cause the death of us all.

I have a cure for that. When you see Francisco warming in the pen, mark an "L" in the loss column, turn off the TV, and throw the remote across the room!

This is a hard one b.c Francisco has good stuff, his fastball is fast and his curve is good and his splitter isn't bad either, so why it is he gets hit so bad is beyond me he really should be much better than he is.

Somebody said maybe he's tipping his pitches, which would make sense when a guy has really good stuff but gets hit hard so much.

With a 1 or 2 run lead he surely would have blown it. With a 5 run lead he didnt fail becauase there was no pressure. GUy's an obvious choker.

His ERA is awful and he's had some bad outings, but as far as choking goes, he's
9 of 11 in save opportunities.

That's why you can't go by just the stat sheet. You have to watch the games to know how he's REALLY pitching.

Yesterday's game is good evidence of that. If Frazier doesn't swing at ball 4 and hit that fly to RF for the 2nd out, it's 2 on (after Hannigan walks) and 1 out. Heisey then doubled, which would've scored Frazier and probably Hannigan, which would've made the score 9-6. Man on 2nd, still only 1 out. Tying run in the on deck circle. That's the scenario if Frazier doesn't help out Francisco swinging at ball 4. Suddenly it's a whole different ballgame.

Francisco looked like "basura" yesterday, even though the stat sheet showed no runs and a save for him.

For real entertainment, check out FF's performance last Sunday v. Marlins. (Chances are you'll see it happen at/in SkyDome.)

UGH. He's murder.

Ya i see he had a rough series against Miami lol. I keep tabs on the Mets i have always had a soft spot for them, not sure where it came from maybe due to my strong dislike of the yanks.

Thank you for your heartfelt condolences. How are things going in your 12 step recovery program from that experience?
