They are passionate and want to see the team win but can get extreme sometimes.

Most of them would rather see the team lose so they have something to complain about, or so they can stick out their chest and tell everyone they were right. It is amazing how they all dissapear at any sign of a Mets winning streak.

So the franchise doesn't deserve to be attacked?

I regard myself as the middle man in the message board, that's why I don't like to take sides. But you can have your opinion. I think they do want to see the team win. Someone who trolls another team's message board doesn't really want to see their team win. That's a bad fan.

If they really hated the team as much as they say they do they wouldn't be on here and they would just stop being a fan all together, the only logical reason is that they get enjoyment out of bashing the team, so deep down they would rather see the team fail. That is why they aren't on here celebrating after a win.

It is funny how you actually replied to the exact post I was mocking that included the term "our organization" yet only when I posted "our organization" did you try to find fault in it. That is pretty hypocritical if you ask me.

they have the right to continuously complain since you continuously make excuses for the team

I'm the opposite of that in real life ... whatever my other faults are

and I am not a lawyer so I doubt I can make any attorney proud

I just dont get how people can so identify with the mets organization

by the way I actually like the guy .. he and I talk all the time here and agree as much as we disagree

we were openly rooting for the yankees to lose after they were up 3 games to 1 earlier in the week

They do deserve to be attacked, but not for every little thing. like when we have idiots making threads about how they don't spend enough $ on the MLB roster. Or when the same idiots are making threads wondering why the Mets haven't made any trades yet on day 2 of the offseason. It's ridiculous.

You want to get on them for keeping Minaya & the coaching staff. I agree. You want to get on them for their ridiculous draft philosophy? I agree. want to get on them for how they never do a full & proper search for a GM? I agree. Not enough Mets stuff, ode to Brooklyn Dodgers, expensive seats etc...I agree. But to make insane attacks on them because they didn't make a move yet while a couple of teams have made some incredibly minor deals bringing in 4th OFers & utility men is ridiculous.
