De Aza > Bonifraud

i know De Aza plays the outfield but i would take anybody over the clown bonifacio......(who will probably be our starting 3rd baseman opening day)

This disappointed me, and the first thing that came to my mind was also why De Aza and not BonifaciAAA. I was a De Aza fan and I can't believe the Marlins wouldn't keep even De Aza. Oh well, this is just the first guy, more will go this offseason.

Who will remain on the roster is based on how many/few other teams WANT our players; hence, Pinto, Nunez, Lindstrom will remain.... :)

your pretty much right. the only thing we can hope for is that they bat bonifraud in the 8th spot and move maybin up to the 2....but other than that, you are correct. lets just pray we finish above the nats next year cuz they are probably going to make some moves just as every other team in the east except the fishies.

I highly doubt that anyone but Coghlan will bat 2nd because for some reason they think emilio has to bat first which leaves maybin for the 8 spot. I think the biggest ? in the lineup is the 5,6 and 7 hitters. I put cody fifth because I think he has shown he can be very productive, and I put baker 6th to split up all the righties at the bottom of the order. I put Gaby Sanchez 7th because he hasn't shown a thing at the major league level, but who knows Fredi might bat him 4th/5th. This team better learn to play small ball because power will be at a minimum next season.

I doubt the fish will finish last in the east next season, but if the Mutts revive themselves we may be looking at a 4th place finish.

GO FISH!!! PREDICTING 4TH PLACE FINISH IN NL EAST!!!!

Breaking News (lol)

"A prospect who could be close to being big league ready is right-hander Jay Buente, a 26-year-old reliever who appeared in 35 games at Triple-A New Orleans. He opened the year at Double-A Jacksonville, and threw 83 innings in 51 total Minor League games.

He has made three appearances in Arizona.

The Marlins see Buente as someone who can help their bullpen."

This guy might steal a bullpen spot come spring training .

The best candidate to bat 5th, at least when it's his turn to pitch, is JJ. The man has 3 HR last year! And a decent amount of hits. He'll turn around the lineup faster than Nick Johnson did!

Maybe so, but I think Ross' 24HR and 90RBIs qualify him as well.

GO FISH!!! ROSS VS JJ YOU DECIDE!!!!

Ha ha I suppose so, BUT, if you compare the number of runs JJ saved through his awesome pitching (I guess figuring it out in a similar way to how the administration calculates jobs saved) with the number of runs Ross produced, who comes out on top? Hmm...
