These teams are very evenly matched. I have to go with the Yankees though. Since George is not the visible main man anymore--I have to give my support to the Yankees. I really like the players & the Manager. When their bats start to click, they will be unstoppable. I'd like to see it go the full 7 games.

Actually---I like the caliber of the players & coaches on the Yankees better. When Big George was in the background/foreground-I did not support NY, but now--I do. Has nothing to do with any perceived evil. Especially since I happen to be a Spirit-filled Christian. So---you go Yankees. Take it in 7 games---I love watching the Series !

I'm not sure what you mean by "caliber." If you're talking about playing ability only, I suppose you can like the caliber of a character like PayRod.

I like the caliber of guys like Jamie Moyer and Raul Ibanez. And it's easy to appreciate players like Chase Utley, Shane Victorino, Ryan Howard, etc., although I can't stand that animal-torturing punk, Pedro Martinez. In my perfect scenario, Pedro doesn't win a game, but the Phillies take the Series.

This one will end up with the Yankees winning in 7 (unfortunately). I think the Phils win 2 out of three at home and the Yankees win the final two in Yankee Stadium. Sorry to pile on Butchie, but I'm not sure how someone who wears a tie-dyed tee shirt in their profile picture can root for the most corporate team in America. Oh wait, you like the "caliber" of their players and coaches...? I forgot. So if I gave the Nationals $200,000,000+ to spend on players you would root for them to since they could buy a high "caliber" of players and coaches? Just sayin'...

So----------I was wearing tie-died shirts back in the early 70's/late 60's. I happen to like the artsy look. Anyway---everyone has their own likes & dislikes around baseball. I happen to like all the Yankee players & coaches. Their bats are coming alive in this game 3----looks like they are getting in the "groove!" No, I would not root for the Washington Nationals. Not in your lifetime. Besides, all sports are now "Corporate" unless the Green Bay Packers are still owned by the city.
I do not like free agency & the absence of team loyalty. But, like Bob Dylan said, "The times they are a changin'."
