I predict the first to go will be Scott Radinsky

The starting pitching was supposed to be the key and it has been bad. Not to say it is his fault because the back-end of the bullpen seems to be solid. But like Acta - they are only as good as the hand they are dealt

Though look at Tony LaRussa last year and how he managed - a classic in handling pitching. One thing to always remember from the 2011 WS

Dolan ought to make clean sweep -- everyone in FO, most especially Antonetti and Shapiro, coaches and manager. Retain Choo, Brantley, Kipnis, ACab, maybe Santana. Everyone is expendable, including Perez. I figure finishing 20 games out, which is where plummeting team is headed, might force Dolan's otherwise lethargic, indifferent hand. We fans were told three years ago by FO that by 2012 we would have a bona fide contender. What a joke.

Pardon the obtuseness, but what do these figures mean specifically? (I do know that there is a huge run differential since All-Star break.)

We allowed 88 more runs than we've scored - which statistically would result in an expected won-loss record of 44 and 66. Of course that results from our excellent record (previously) in one run games - and an excellent back end of the bullpen doesn't hurt.

"Excellent backend of bullpen" until today. Blown save No. 3 for the overrated (in my opinion) Perez. Agree with other poster who commented that FO would have been smart to trade him before end of July, when his value was higher. FIVE RUNS AFTER TWO OUT! Quite a dubious achievement.

You're right about the excellent back end of the bullpen. When we're putting in complete trash when we're losing and pretty good pitchers when we're winning, we will tend to turn small losses into big ones, and hold on to tight games for the victory. Still, we're lucky to have our record where it is now.

The " Best and Coolest" firings I have been close to did not involve me, it was so quick, brutal, and bloody. there was a Co. in Home Delivery Service for Med. Drugs and Scrips, and there was rumor that the Feds were on their trail heavy for "Kickbacks to Dr.,Hospitals, and Med players. And one day, I was asked to deliver some paper work to the down the street Corp. office, and only to 2 young guys,(sharp, well dressed, fast talkers, and rude, very young), and met them 2 days later in an employee interview.
These guys were Corp. hired hachetmen, and they started at our complex by firing our Gen. MGR, while he was at lunch, and we cleaned out his office into boxes, delivered to Corp site, and he made $100,000, and not allowed to say goodbye. later that day, his Sec. was let go while on Cig. break, office cleaned out, not allowed back into bldg. That evening, head of Nurses and her Asst. let go, office cleaned out, and next morning head of Scripts, and Pharm. Lab Dir. never came to work, and their offices cleaned out over night.
Next morning deliver boxes from offices to Corp offices, and notice vacant desks, and offices, and meeting those 2 Men again, it was funny, all the decision makers gone, all the high paid exec., gone, and after the carnage, I find out next morning, that one of the two men had been fired, and it was done by the other young guy. Now that was funny, and the last idiot was let go by his Corp.
Now this is how I see it, let Acta fire Rad.,(mandatory-or you), then Hitting Coach(Joker), then Antoneti fires Acta, Shapiro fires Antonetti(you or him), Shapiro fired by Dolan, and Dolan does not know what to do, he hires M.Holmgran, who was fired by the new owner of Browns.
