We'll have to see if anybody will actually trade for Lowe, I don't see why they would but it's been mentioned. Before he was sent down, Gomez wasn't doing much better than Lowe. Gomez is 3-2 with a 3.15 ERA in Columbus. It looks like he is doing decent down there but I question his ability as a MLB starter. It seems most likely to me that Hernandez will be the next option in the rotation.

with hernandez coming back, i would expect lowe to move to the bullpen. Jeanmar has looked good for the most part. His mechanics got out of wack and he couldn't make those adjustments up here. I expect him to be part of the rotation towards the end of the season and into the next.

Masterson
Jimenez
McAllister
Carrasco

Then you have Hernandez, Tomlin and Gomez for the other spot next year. That's the way I see it. I don't think Gomez is going to be in that rotation unless some players aren't on the roster next year.

Add Hernandez and there is your rotation for 2013.

I think that is potentially a very capable rotation. If only we had the bats to go along.

I sure like that rotation a lot better then the one they started with this year with Tomlin and Gomez in it and Lowe who I thought would be okay and wouldn't break down as quickly as he has. Unless they break up the bullpen having to use someone like Perez in a trade the bullpen looks decent to good so they will need to concentrate on a right handed left fielder and right handed 1st baseman during the off season hopefully both with some pop in their bat.

Definitely, the rotation should be much better. If Allen keeps learning, Rogers stays the way he is and Hagadone comes back from injury and plays to his potential, that bullpen would be all I could ask for. Of course that would also include the current back end that is playing well this year. If a majority of those pieces in the pen work out, we could probably afford to package one in a deal one to help our offense. Heck, I forgot about Raffy Perez too.

I think you at least have to consider skipping Lowe's next start, moving him to the bullpen for the time being and calling up either Gomez or Kluber. Both are pitching well in Columbus. I'd prefer Kluber myself.

Lowe needs some time off. He's just lost it.

Hagadone has been a disappointment this year after starting out looking pretty good so he is one guy they need to get his head straightened out and learn to be a pitcher and not just a guy who throws hard and straight over the plate. With him and maybe R. Perez, don't know what kind of raise R. Perez is going to get so they might decide to deal him but his value has to be way done with his injury this year, they can get rid of Sipp. Allen, Rogers, Smith, Hagadone, Pestano, maybe R. Perez and a long man they most likely will have to pick up during the off season would be a pretty solid bullpen. I think C. Perez will be gone for sure especially with all his talking to the media this year so I just hope that if that happens Pestano can be the closer that C. Perez has been this year. With that bullpen and that rotation of Masterson, Jimenez, Hernandez, Carrasco and McAllister pitching should be much of a problem next year I just wish they had a left handed starter. If C.Perez gets traded I sure hope it is for a right handed power hitting left fielder.

If this front office REALLY wants to win why wouldn't they move Lowe to the pen or skip him for his next start, maybe bring up a guy like Kluber to make a start or two? They watched this team faltering around .500 but didn't seem to think they needed an improvement over Cunningham why are they sitting on their hands doing nothing instead of seeing if they might have someone in Columbus who can help in Cleveland?

Not saying I agree with it Joe, just don't see it happening. When Hernandez is ready on August 11 then we'll see a move. I think Lowe gets DFA'd instead of moved to the pen. Still think Tomlin has to pitch well as well as he's on the bubble

I don't doubt that, but in my opinion bringing up Kluber to make Lowe's next two starts (or however many he has until Hernandez is available) would be as good as trading for a rotation upgrade. Maybe Kluber isn't a long term answer, but there's no doubt in my mind he'd give us a better chance to win than Lowe.

Lowe is out of gas at this point, it's incredibly evident watching him pitch. No life on any of his pitches, sinker is flat, slider barely moves and is always up in the zone.

Yeah I know it most likely won't happen but I think moving Lowe to the pen until Hernandez is ready and giving Kluber a look for a couple starts could be a better move then letting Lowe go out there a couple more times until then. That would give them some time to decide if Tomlin or Lowe get released when Hernandez is ready. I just do not understand how the way this team has been playing they haven't made any kind of changes, I don't consider Lillbridge over Cunningham a change, it is like the front office is satisfied the way this team has been playing.

I agree that one of Chris Seddon or Kluber should probably be making Lowe's next few starts. They can say they're skipping him in the rotation to get his arm rest or whatever, and then when Hernandez is ready, make a decision at that point. It can't be worse than sending Lowe out there at this point.

They want more fans coming to the games but they don't seem to want to even try something different to see if it makes a difference. Do they really think the fans aren't tried of seeing that Lowe will be the starter? Change is good, well, unless it is in Washington. lol
